Hi everyone! It’s suggestion time, and we are focusing on getting the most out of your led lights. After all, it’s that time of the year when everything should sparkle!
📎 LED Clip
A minimalistic design that attracted a lot of attention from professional outlets by a Korean designer Sungho Lee can be a great inspiration for a simple project with your kids. All you need is LED lights and a battery. As the normal LED’s light parts consist of two straight legs, a plus and minus terminal pin for the power supply, Lee modified the form of the legs to create ‘LED clips’, which can be illuminated by clipping onto batteries. Check the design here and how to change it here.
🎄 Reuse old Christmas tree lights
If you, like most of us, have tree lights with some bulbs working and others not, don’t throw them away, let’s reuse them and make a fun learning activity. We’ll make our own circuit! Apart from the holiday lights, most of the things are also easily accessible: a file folder, tape, aluminum foil, brass fasteners, scissors, and 9-volt battery. Check out the full tutorial here, and read more about the concept behind it (so you can be a better instructor) here.
✍️ Make your drawings shine!
Did you know that you can make circuits without any wire? This activity can be repeated multiple times and apart from learning about the conductive properties of graphite, you and your kid can be as creative as you want. It’s also very light on resources, all you need is a graphite pen, paper, a battery, and a LED light. Check out the tutorial here.
Enjoy the last week of this year and don’t forget to shine! Share with us how it went!
Would you like to gift us something? All we want is to have more readers in our little community! Please share this on your social media, or simply forward this newsletter. It means a ton!
