Recommendations: Easter tech activities
How to encourage girls' interest in tech — Newsletter No.25
This and the next weekend, Christians are celebrating Easter, so here are some quick activities you can do to respect the theme and keep the tech engagement going :)
✍️ Easter Sequences Coding Game (No Screen)
Here is an activity for younger kids to repeat the sequences they see drawn with real objects — in this example, those are Easter jelly beans, but can be chocolate or real colored eggs :) Here is the tutorial, and how much you let them eat is up to you!
⬆️➡️ Another No-Screen Easter Coding game
This one is a bit more advanced, it’s not just practicing sequences, but tracking movements. You can find ideas here.
🐇 Track Easter Bunny App
Track Easter Bunny is a great activity for families on Easter Eve to track the Easter Bunny as he makes his journey around the globe (whether they believe in him or not).
Within the website and app are many fun activities for your kids to enjoy, such as: teaching kids about geography, helping to teach children about other cultures, encouraging kids to be kind to one another and to read and engage with fiction, as well as teaching kids about Easter.
💻 Easter-themed projects made by teachers
There are some fun Google-drive projects you can do with your kid, which are available on TPT website, and are created by teachers. These are paid, but are very affordable, costing $3 or $4. Here are some:
